The founder of Stone Canyon Pictures, Tarek Tohme attended the USC School of Cinematic Arts and USC Marshall School of Business, where he graduated with dual degrees in Film/TV Production and Business Administration in 2013. A recipient of the university's prestigious, four-year, full-tuition Trustee Scholarship, Tarek found himself producing multi-million dollar feature films with A-list talent immediately upon his entry into the professional world. Best known for his feature directorial debut Hold On (2019)—which was released theatrically to wide media attention—Tarek possesses over a decade of experience in all phases of the filmmaking pipeline. His credits include In Dubious Battle (2016) starring Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Selena Gomez, and Bryan Cranston, The Labyrinth (2017), and Don Quixote (2015). Armed with a great passion for the creative process and a wealth of knowledge in multiple facets of the film and music industries, Tarek strives to fill a void by championing projects which go against the grain—and to give a voice to stories and artists which are more than often overlooked by contemporary Hollywood.
Vanessa PantleyProducer@vanessapantleyVanessa Pantley began her film career at PBS, where she became the first ever intern to co-produce aired stories. She then attended USC's School of Cinematic Arts, where she produced the university's first ever feature film, Don Quixote: The Ingenious Gentleman of La Mancha, which premiered at Palm Springs International Film Festival and streamed on Netflix. She produced and directed multiple projects for Rabbit Bandini, James Franco's production company, and has held lead management positions on projects of up to 5 million dollars. Her freelance work extends to producing for Fox Studios, HBO Max, Annapurna Pictures, Condé Nast, McGraw Hill, and other large clients. Vanessa's focus is on story, maximizing financial resources, and creating high quality products.
